----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- there is no us and them but them don't feel the same America, picking and choosing when we defend freedom all the while expecting freedom to be assured for ourselves. I don't understand how humans can do such harm. The world is ending and we are all still worried about lines on a map, money in the pocket. Who is in control? This war could be over already, but we obviously think we have more important things to do than what is right. Let's limit Russia's money, that's what everyone really cares about, right? How is that going to stop tanks from running children over, bombs from taking out apartment buildings, families from getting destroyed? Maybe America is wiped out from a 20+ year war in Afghanistan. Occupations in Indonesia, Africa, The mid-East. Wars at home. We are too busy sending our own children to prison in the highest for-profit incarceration system in the world, there's no time to teach them empathy for fellow human beings. So many unjustified shows of force. There is no capital to be gained in the Ukraine, I guess. Maybe we fear the atom bombs coming from Russia? Or we want to keep up appearances so we can have their natural gas, their oil? What does it take to label someone a dictator? A terrorist? We decide when it's profitable to get involved and when it suits us best to sit back and tisk tisk through a screen. I hope the people of the Ukraine will be victorious. It breaks my heart that they are obviously in this alone. What if everyone in the military refused to fight? Who would the insane leaders get to fight their ego wars then? 11:20 PM - Friday, Feb. 25, 2022 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
