You try to toe the line. Follow official channels. Do the drugs they want you to do. Have a job. Get married. Get a house.
And you get ripped off by criminals.
So you give up.
And you become a criminal.
And for awhile you are very very good at it.
Then one day
Eventually
You get caught
And you get ripped off by officers.
So you give up.
And you don't look left or right
Or up
Just down
At your feet
To make sure they are still on the uneven ground
So you just give up
Because you've tried it their way
And you've tried it the other way
And either way
You get ripped off.
The biggest danger of being an outlander
In one's own land,
Not a member of the tribe mentality,
Is the retaliation from all fronts.
Use these recent events
To overcome this addiction to consumerism
And learn to live with
One spoon
One pan
One good arm
One bullet
And one solid plan.
Learn that nothing else matters
Except that it's more important than ever now
To hold it together.
Hold us together.
That is our resistance.
